How to Use the Scrap Gold Calculator
- Weight: Enter the weight of your scrap gold or dental gold in grams.
- Scrap Type: Select the purity. Dental gold is tricky; yellow dental gold is usually around 650/1000 purity, but if teeth are still attached, the gold content drops to roughly 500/1000.
- Payout Rate: Dealers will subtract melting and refining fees. A rate between 88% and 92% is typical for average amounts.
