The palladium price is set internationally in US dollars per troy ounce on the NYMEX futures exchange and the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM). This price is converted to Euro at the current EUR/USD exchange rate, then divided by 31.1035 grams to get the price per gram.

Over 80% of global palladium production goes into catalytic converters for gasoline engines, with mining heavily concentrated in Russia and South Africa.
