Converting one kilogram of gold
One kilogram equals 1,000 grams. The displayed reference multiplies the fine-gold price per gram by 1,000; it describes the metal value of one kilogram of fine gold.
For a particular bar, consider its stated weight together with its fineness. A bar with 1,000 g gross weight and confirmed fineness of 999.9 contains a calculated 999.9 g of fine gold. Dealer pricing can include fabrication, distribution and other costs.
Metal value is not a dealer quote
Metal quotes come from gold-api.com, with currency conversion from Frankfurter. The reference is not a binding purchase or buyback price. Compare total cost, fine weight, quote time and all charges.
