1. Live Spot Price Data Source:
Live precious metal spot rates (XAU/USD, XAG/USD, XPT/USD, XPD/USD) are ingested from international Over-the-Counter (OTC) spot market benchmark feeds.
2. EUR Conversion Method & ECB Reference Rate:
Spot prices in USD are converted to EUR using the official daily foreign exchange reference rate of the European Central Bank (ECB / Europäische Zentralbank - EUR/USD) via the formula:
Gold Price (EUR/gram) = (Spot USD / 31.1034768) × (1 / ECB EUR-USD Reference Rate)
3. Update Frequency & Timezone Timestamp:
- Refresh Frequency: Price API cache is updated every 15 minutes (Cache-Control: s-maxage=900).
- Timezone Timestamp: Timestamps explicitly display German local time in
(Europe/Berlin).
4. Historical Time-Series Attribution:
Historical charts and long-term price series are cited from the World Gold Council (WGC) and World Bank Commodity Markets Data.
